A Netflix-Grade Player Shell for Legal Open Live Television

Engineered IPTV as a cinematic Next.js Progressive Web App that turns curated legal open streams into a polished live television experience. The product pairs an HLS-first watch surface with category carousels, country/language/resolution filters, favorites, TV guide navigation, and one-tap custom M3U import.

Key Architectural Decisions & Engineering Highlights

Built a responsive cinematic UI with Orbitron branding, live hero rotation, and horizontal channel rows optimized for thumb and pointer browsing.
Implemented HLS playback routes per channel with resolution badges, live status indicators, and graceful fallbacks when upstream feeds degrade.
Designed multi-dimensional discovery: category, country, language, and resolution filters plus ⌘K search and favorites persistence.
Shipped as an installable PWA with offline-capable shell assets, sync controls for playlist freshness, and custom M3U playlist ingestion.
